Scelzi Enterprises, Inc. is looking to hire energetic individuals to assist our painting department in preparing sheet metals, service bodies, flatbeds, and misc. materials for paint. The job requires the candidate to cover bumpers, windows, and trim using masking tape and paper, clean and sand all surfaces, and fill cracks or breaks in surfaces with putty.

Essential Functions

1. 1.Clean floor of beds with wire wheel
   
2. 2.Clean dirt of body using cleaning materials
   
3. 3.Use of grinder, putty knife, DA sander, caulking gun to smooth surface
   
4. 4.Apply bondo and do complete bodywork
   
5. 5.Mask units/body properly for paint
   
6. 6.Prep, sand, and touch-up
   
7. 7.May apply underseal on bodies
   
8. 8.Read work orders for body specifications
   
9. 9.Inspect and identify scratches or dents / flaws
   
10. 10.Notify supervisor of any mechanical or material issues
    
11. 11.Maintain a clean and safe work area

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in a shop production environment. Includes exposure to sounds and noise level that are distracting or uncomfortable. Requires working in a very hot (above 90 degrees F) or very cold (below 32 degrees F) temperatures. Requires working indoors in non-controlled environmental conditions. Job tasks are performed in close physical proximity to other people. Requires exposure to minor burns, cuts, bites, or stings. Requires exposure to hazardous equipment.

Physical Demands

Must be able to lift 50lbs periodically. Requires walking, standing, squatting, bending, climbing, kneeling, crawling, twisting, pushing, pulling, reaching, repetitive movement, using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days are Monday through Saturdays; hours may vary from 6:30 a.m. to 4:40 p.m.

Required Education and Experience

• 6 months of general work experience.
  

Preferred Education and Experience

• One year industrial/construction/ general labor experience
